Destinations
I am going to Mars can you cover me? Ohh ok, I know, BE REALISTIC; What about the Moon?
Whilst our travel horizons are vast, there are some destinations we cannot cover (yet) so we don’t have a policy to cover a trip to the moon, or any other planets for that matter, at the moment, but we are always looking to expand our horizons in the true spirt of the adventurer so watch this space!
We do however have cover available for most destinations spanning all four corners of good ‘ole planet Earth.
The countries and regions that we offer cover for, is subject to change due to ever shifting world events affecting our ability to help you in your time of need, and so we continually update our destination list to reflect places we can cover and we exclude cover where we are not able to assist.
What destinations should I use?
When entering your trip details to get a quote, you can start typing the name of the destination you want to add to your policy and you will be shown the destination in the list if it is available. When you have selected a destination, it will be added below the destination selector box and you will not be able to add it again.
You can also select from popular destinations in the suggested options shown in the drop down list, or if you are planning a trip where all your destinations are not yet known or you are travelling to multiple destinations in one region, you can also add areas or continents (eg All of Asia, All of Europe) or even simply, Worldwide.
When using regions or worldwide as your destinations you do not need to list countries individually or notify us of all your destinations but in all cases, cover is not available for countries and destinations that are listed as ‘Do Not Travel’ destinations on the Australian Government Smart Traveller website.
Why can’t I get a quote including both international destinations and Australia?
You cannot add Australia as a destination on an international travel policy as the domestic policy type and benefits differ from the cover provided under international policy type. If there is an Australian component in part of your overseas trip, if for example you are transiting between airports within Australia, this part of your trip will be covered automatically.
