Domestic Travel Insurance

I’m travelling in my own country, why would I need travel insurance?

Australia is a wonderful place to explore and while Medicare will cover you for medical expenses, you might still want to have cover for the unexpected. Things like accommodation for your loved ones should you need to stay in hospital away from home, rental vehicle excess cover, lost or stolen luggage or cover for cancellation costs.

We offer a fully comprehensive travel plan, Domestic Comprehensive Care; or cancellation only cover, Domestic Cancellation.

Will Domestic Comprehensive Care cover me on a cruise?

The Domestic Comprehensive Care policy does not include cruise cover options, other than for cruises within Australia (e.g. on the Murray River) or in Australian Coastal Waters (e.g. a Kimberley Cruise), as there is no medical or dental cover included in domestic policies. However, for all other domestic cruises we have a specific policy type for cover while on board ship in Australian waters, and to get the correct cover if you are going on a cruise you will need to use our Domestic Cruise policy. Please visit our cruise page for information about which destination to select depending on your cruise type.
