Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance

Is an Annual Multi Trip travel plan right for me?

If you are a frequent traveller you may like to choose an Annual Multi Trip policy rather than taking a single policy every time you travel.

For the adventurer, explorer, jetsetter, high flyer, or humble traveller, if you plan on traveling more than once in a 12 month period this policy type can be exceptional value. Offering unlimited trips within a given 12 month period, it is hard not to be tempted into getting this cover just in case a golden travel opportunity comes onto the horizon.

If you travel regularly or like to take advantage of cheap online getaways and last minute deals, it is comforting to know that if an unexpected adventure, a long planned treat or an emergency dash to visit friends or relatives is in the offing you are ready to roll with a swag full of cover and benefits.

Our Domestic Care, International Comprehensive Care and International Essentials Care policies are all available as Annual Multi Trip travel plans, and with no age limits, everyone can enjoy endless cover for a full 12 months of travel cover.

What destinations should I add?

When choosing your destinations, you will be covered for a full 12 months from the travel start date you select, so consider all your possible trips in that period. If you are not sure of your exact travel plans at the time you purchase, you may want to consider using regions rather than specific countries, such as ‘All of Asia’ or ‘All of Europe’, or you can even select ‘Worldwide’ for your year of worry free travel.

How long can I travel?

Domestic Care travel plans offer 15 or 30 day options for the duration of each trip whilst International Comprehensive Care and Essentials Care offer 30, 45 or 60 days per trip – Remember you can squeeze in as many trips as you like within the 12 month period, but each trip must not be longer than the maximum trip duration you have selected.

Domestic Care Annual Multi Trip policies are valid for unlimited trips within Australia that are more than 250km from home or have a pre-paid travel component such as hotels or airfares.

Can I include international destinations and Australia on my Annual Multi Trip policy?

The benefits on Domestic Care and International Care travel plans differ in the type of cover included and are designed to suit different travel needs at home and abroad, so you cannot include cover for Australia and international destinations on the same Annual Multi Trip travel plan.

All our International Care travel plans include medical and dental treatment for your overseas travel; however, our Domestic Care plans do not include medical and dental cover as this is covered by Medicare or your private health care provider and so you cannot add Australia as a destination to International travel plans – Single Trip or Annual Multi Trip – with the exception of the Domestic Cruise destination which includes all the international policy benefits of the level of cover you choose including medical and dental on board ship.

Of course, if your international travel has connections within Australia, then cover is automatically provided for this portion of travel with Your international travel policy.

Annual Multi Trip policies are ideal for the regular business traveller, are tax deductable and indispensable if you are regularly travelling internationally, interstate or intrastate for work or pleasure. Set a reminder in your diary to renew the policy every year and you will always have a policy current, meaning one less arrangement you need to make when you are rushing around the country or overseas.

All of our International Care and Domestic Care policies are available as an Annual Multi Trip policy. The benefits are the same as the single trip options of the same policy type, with all benefits refreshed and available for each and every trip.

It is important that you understand and are satisfied with the policy that you choose so carefully read the Product Disclosure Statement and consider all other information available before deciding which policy is right for you.
